Tens of thousands of members support the organisation, helping to preserve these special places of culture and history. Members get free access to hundreds of the most cherished houses, castles, and gardens across the UK. The proceeds support Historic Houses’ ability to represent, advise, and support independently owned sites, and ensuring they stay alive for generations to come.

We have been working with Historic Houses throughout their journey of digital transformation. Our ongoing goal has been to help them use digital to improve the member experience. Key to this is the website, which allows covers everything from joining to visiting houses. We also created an API allowing members to manage details across different platforms.
Regular analytics reviews and usability testing help us to refine the experience, and make continual improvements.
The result is a beautiful and usable design, that provides a consistent experience for users across devices. Historic Houses have seen a huge update in online member engagement, and we aim to see that increase further.
